Is it allowed to post 3D works where modeling was made from scratch (using Blender), but textures and background image (hdr) are from 3rd party (mostly freebies)  ?

Finally; a group of people that do all their stuff.

If i say, import a model into blender from "makehuman" and heavily edit it (shape, textures, clothing, weapons, etc) would you still consider it unoriginal? I tend to see it as a shortcut so that I can get to the details of the model rather than get slowed down by the basic first steps. Just wondering. I everything myself other than base human modeling because anatomy is an absolute pain to get right every time.
